I loot the airport solo all the time , never sprint, run and you die . just go easy and use flares to move the zeds around and use sandbags and ammo crates to cut them down.

I start at the back at the shooting range and draw the super zombie in and take him out first, then just cut your way through the rest.

It's still very challenging for me and nearly impossible when I'm alone.
