I am not sure what you mean?

There was an issue with the old theme where you couldn't see the cursor on the light grey backgrounds, that is fixed with the new theme.

If you could screenshot what you are talking about, it would be helpful.

i quite liked the very first one we had. the white and blue i think. it felt much brighter

Bright text on dark background is still better. More comfortable for reading and less harmful for eyes.

This was the deciding factor for going 'dark'.

Bright forums just hurt the eyes, especially in poorly lit rooms.

as you can see in the pic, when i make a new topic, my cursor doesnt show like how it does for when i reply to a topic.

Yes, but just click once on the empty text box, then type 1 letter and the cursor will appear, then delete that 1 letter and the cursor will still stay there.

The cursor doesen't appear there because the text box is not activated initially and yes, it seems like a litle bug as the cursor doesen't appear when you click the text box before typing the first symbol.

But I prefere this bug on this forum than Sugabug on that forum.
